The Battleship Island (Korean: 군함도; Hanja: 軍艦島; RR: Gunhamdo) is a 2017 South Korean period action drama film starring Hwang Jung-min, So Ji-sub, Song Joong-ki and Lee Jung-hyun. It is a Japanese occupation-era film about an attempted prison break from a forced labor camp on Hashima Island.

5 ott 2020 · The Battleship Island è un film preciso e estensivo, che ha una buona resa in termini di spiegazione della storia e delle diverse caratteristiche dei personaggi e dei rapporti con i giapponesi. Da notare è la regia delle scene di massa, ottima anche nelle scene d’azione, soprattutto nel pirotecnico finale.
The Battleship Island è uno dei film coreani più ambiziosi mai realizzati: è stato girato in 115 giorni con un budget di 21 milioni di US$ su un enorme set la cui costruzione è durata ben sei mesi, e che aveva una superficie di circa due terzi dell’isola reale.
