The Voice ( French: La voix) is a 1992 French drama film directed by Pierre Granier-Deferre, starring Sami Frey and Nathalie Baye. Based on a short story by Pierre Drieu La Rochelle, it tells the story of a man who is transfixed when he hears the voice of a woman he once was in love with.
Dans Rome, deux amants : Gilles et Lorraine. Alors qu'ils sont assis à la terrasse d'un café, Gilles croit reconnaître une des voix qui s'échappent du brouhaha. Si c'était Laura, un amour d'avant, aussi fort mais terminé ? Il revoit, rêve, réinvente, revit cet amour passé.
Gille et Lorraine sont amants. Alors qu'ils dînent tranquillement à la terrasse d'un restaurant, une voix de femme s'échappe du brouhaha ambiant. C'est celle de Laura, que Gille a aimée à la folie il y a quelques années.
