The Gathering Storm is a 1974 British/American television biopic film, about Winston Churchill's life in the years just prior to, and at the start of, World War II, from 1936 to 1940.
Richard Burton plays Winston Churchill in the years 1936 to 1940, as he warns the country about the dangers posed by Nazi Germany and into the beginning of World War 2. Burton was much younger than Churchill had been, was taller and slimmer but still managed to make me think he was Churchill.
