Deep Dark Canyon is a 2012 American independent dramatic thriller film by husband and wife writer/director team Abe Levy and Silver Tree. The film stars Ted Levine, Nick Eversman and Spencer Treat Clark. The film was originally called Lawless and was shot on location in the rural town of Guerneville, California.

The story of teenage brothers Nate and Skylar Towne, coming of age in a small town with dirty police, crooked family politics and too many guns. The boys are involved in a hunting accident which ends the life of the beloved town mayor Dick Cavanaugh.

Deep Dark Canyon plot. "Shoot. Kill. Run. Hide." Bloom Towne is the sheriff of a small town controlled by the influential mayor Cavanaugh and his family. When Towne's sons Nat and Skylar accidentally shoot Mayor Dick Cavanaugh during a deer hunt, the mayor's family jumps to conclusions.
