The Inner Cage (Italian: Ariaferma) is a 2021 Italian-Swiss prison drama film co-written and directed by Leonardo Di Costanzo. The film premiered out of competition at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. The film won two David di Donatello Awards, for best original screenplay and for best actor (Silvio Orlando).

THE INNER CAGE. DIRECTED BY LEONARDO DI COSTANZO. VISION DISTRIBUTION. SYNOPSIS. An old prison in a remote and inaccessible area of Italy is scheduled for closure. Due to bureaucratic mishaps, the transfer of inmates is blocked, and a dozen prisoners wait for their new destinations, watched over by a handful of guards.
