Having endured Groom Lake I now officially take back (some of) my criticisms of William Shatner's previous directorial effort: 1989's Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. You remember that film, the one that began with rock climbing and singing campfire songs and ended up with Captain Kirk punching "God" in the face.
