Sex and the Married Detective is the third episode of the eighth season of Columbo and the forty-eighth episode overall. It first aired on April 3, 1989 and was directed by James Frawley. In addition to Peter Falk as Lieutenant Columbo, the episode stars Lindsay Crouse, Stephen Macht and Julia Montgomery.
A sex therapist catches her boyfriend with another woman when he thinks she is out of town. She then disguises herself and manages to kill him while in disguise, not realizing that a potential suitor saw her enter the bathroom as a dark-haired woman and exit as a blonde.
