In this film, Wayne Morris is an outlaw mistaken for a hired gunman, who cleans up a nest of bad-guys and saves the day. He eventually becomes a different kind of man due to his duty and the love of a good woman.

Writer Dan Ullman dusts of the old mistaken-identity gimmick in this one as ex-convict Jim Blake is mistaken by the lawful element of an Arizona town as the gunman they had sent for to rid the territory of outlaws and rustlers.
Near town, Jim is shot at, but is unable to catch the gunman. Jim then meets Gail Sterling, daughter of prominent rancher Bill Sterling, who, along with her fiancé, Dick Grant, was opposed to hiring a gunman. When she sees the initials on Jim's guns, she tells him she hates him and rides off.
