The Night We Got the Bird is a 1961 British comedy film directed by Darcy Conyers and starring Brian Rix, Dora Bryan, Ronald Shiner and Irene Handl. It is based on Basil Thomas's 1957 play The Lovebirds. It was the follow-up to The Night We Dropped a Clanger (1959), and includes the last film appearance by Ronald Shiner.

Summaries. Cecil's family is unaware that he and his cabinet-maker employee are making and selling false antique furniture. It is only when he dies and his salesman Bernie marries his widow Julie that the truth comes out through Cecil re-appearing as a parrot, puzzlingly given as a wedding gift.
The Night We Got the Bird plot. After the unscrupulous Brighton antiques dealer Cecil Gibson dies, his widow Julie remarries Bertie and they go on a honeymoon. However, they are chased by a mobster because of an antique bed that Cecil had pawned just before his death to make a quick buck.
