Recovering drug addict Neville is a stand-up comedian. His girlfriend Niko is a singer. The two have an on-again, off-again relationship that is heavily affected by their damaged family lives. Neville's mother is in prison, convicted of murdering his father. This event weighs even harder on his white brother Matthew, an aspiring boxer.
