Violent Blood Bath is a ballsy title for a film that is relatively bloodless. Jorge Grau's 1974 chiller is essentially a psychological Spanish giallo that leans into procedural territory as a judge becomes centric to murders reminiscent of previous executions he ordered.

Oscar Bataille is a French district attorney with a strong belief in the death penalty and a reputation for seeking it in all of his cases. He is disturbed when several horrific murders, all identical to cases he’s tried and convicted in the past, begin occurring.
In this film, a judge who is extremely harsh, seemingly insistent upon the death penalty for capital punishment cases, finds himself embroiled in some copycat murders while on vacation. Someone seems to be recreating the murders that led to the guilty verdicts.
A magistrate judge and his young beautiful wife are on holiday at a sea-side resort where mysteriously some of the guests and locals are being brutally murde...

It's not very violent, there's just a bit of blood, and there's a swimming pool but no baths in this interesting giallo from the director of The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue. Fernando Rey is a nervous, OCD-afflicted Judge on holiday with his young wife Marissa Mell, who is trying her hardest to put up with all his quirks.
