Freedom Call is a German power metal band formed in 1998. The band tours regularly and the current line-up includes one original member, lead vocalist and songwriter, Chris Bay. Freedom Call has released 14 albums in total, eleven of these studio albums.

Freedom Call. The band dubs their style as "happy metal". Formed by sound engineer Chris Bay and drummer Dan Zimmermann (shortly after he joined Gamma Ray ). Sascha Gerstner left after "Crystal Empire". He initially expressed a desire to play other styles of music, but a year later he joined Helloween.
