The genus name Staphisagria and the common name stavesacre come from the Ancient Greek name mentioned by Dioscorides, σταφὶς ἀγρία (staphis agria, "wild raisin"). Dioscorides described the plant as having wild grape vine-like leaves, but Barton and Castle considered the name as an allusion to the large wrinkled brown seeds. [7]

Stavesacre are an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California formed in 1995. The band is composed of vocalist Mark Salomon, guitarists Jeff Bellew and Ryan Dennee, bassist Dirk Lemmenes and drummer Sam West. 27 lug 2022 · Stavesacre is a flowering plant that is native to southern Europe and northern Africa, and as such, it prefers warm and dry summers and milder winters. Staphisagria macrosperma absolutely requires full sun — at least six hours of direct sun exposure, and ideally even more — to thrive.
