Thomas Quasthoff è un baritono tedesco, celebre per le sue interpretazioni dei Lieder schubertiani e per il suo vastissimo repertorio che va da Bach al jazz.
Thomas Quasthoff (born 9 November 1959) is a German bass-baritone. Quasthoff has a range of musical interest from Bach cantatas, to lieder, and solo jazz improvisations. Born with severe birth defects caused by thalidomide, Quasthoff is 1.34 m (4 ft 4 + 3 ⁄ 4 in), and has phocomelia.

Thomas Quasthoff was a professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold from 1996–2004, and has taught at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin ever since, where he dedicates himself passionately to the upcoming generation of singers.
Biografie – THOMAS QUASTHOFF. „Der Bühnenarbeiter“ Fast vier Jahrzehnte lang hat Thomas Quasthoff als Sänger auf internationalen Bühnen Maßstäbe gesetzt und unzählige Menschen mit seiner Kunst erreicht und bewegt. Im Januar 2012 beendete er seine beispiellose Karriere als Sänger.
Lecturer in master courses in Paris, London’s Wigmore Hall, Heidelberg Frühling International Music Festival, University of Music Detmold, Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, Academia Vocalis in Wörgl and at Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg. Initiator of “Das Lied – International Song Competition”.
