Thad Jones, vero nome Thaddeus Joseph Jones (Pontiac, 28 marzo 1923 – Copenaghen, 20 agosto 1986), è stato un trombettista, compositore e bandleader statunitense di musica jazz. È il fratello di altri due grandi jazzisti, Hank ed Elvin. Musicista di rango, fu definito da Charles Mingus «il più grande trombettista che abbia mai ascoltato».
