Loretta Caroline Rose Minghella OBE (born 4 March 1962) is a British academic administrator and former charity executive. Since 2021, she has served as Master of Clare College, Cambridge, her alma mater.

Loretta Minghella OBE (1981) was installed as Master of Clare in October 2021. Here, she reflects on her first days in post and looks ahead to a very important anniversary. As Michaelmas Term gets underway, it’s an enormous honour to return to Clare as Master.

2 nov 2020 · Loretta Minghella has been elected as the new master of Clare. She will succeed Baron Anthony Grabiner in October 2021. A Clare alumna - completing her BA in law in1984 and receiving the title of Alumnus of the Year in 2018 - Minghella will be the first woman to hold the position.
