Julius Jacob Heinrich Friedrich Ludwig Freiherr von Haynau was born at Kassel on October 14 1786 as the illegitimate son of Landgrave Wilhelm IX (later Elector Wilhelm I.) of Hesse-Cassel and Rosa Ritter von Lindenthal.
Julius Jakob Freiherr von Haynau (* 14. Oktober 1786 in Kassel; † 14. März 1853 in Wien) war ein k. k. Geheimer Rat, Kämmerer, Feldzeugmeister und Inhaber des Infanterieregiments Nr. 59, der in die Liste der immerwährend berühmtesten österreichischen Feldherrn aufgenommen wurde.
