Jacques Philippe Villeré (April 28, 1761 – March 7, 1830) was the second Governor of Louisiana after it became a state. He was the first Creole and the first native of Louisiana to hold that office.

Jacques Philippe Villeré (1761-) was born in Louisiana in 1761. He was the son of Joseph Roy Villeré, one of the martyrs of the Revolution [*] of 1768, and of Louise Marguerite de la Chaise, a granddaughter of Treasurer de la Chaise during the French domination and of the Chevalier d'Arensbourg.
