Hasso Eccard Freiherr von Manteuffel (14 January 1897 – 24 September 1978) was a German baron born to the Prussian noble von Manteuffel family and was a general during World War II who commanded the 5th Panzer Army.

Hasso Eccard von Manteuffel war ein deutscher General der Panzertruppe im Zweiten Weltkrieg sowie Politiker und von 1953 bis 1957 Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages. 1959 wurde er wegen Totschlags verurteilt aufgrund der Erschießung eines Soldaten, der nur zu einer Haftstrafe verurteilt worden war.

Hasso von Manteuffel trat nach seiner Kadettenausbildung am 22. Februar 1916 mit dem Charakter als Fähnrich in die Kaiserliche Armee ein. Am 28. April 1916 wurde er im Brandenburgisches Husaren-Regiment „von Zieten“ Nr. 3 zum Leutnant ernannt. Das Patent wurde dabei auf den 28. Januar 1915 datiert.
