Al Sieber (February 27, 1843 – February 19, 1907) was a German-American who fought in the U.S Civil War and in the American Old West against Indians. He became a prospector and later served as a Chief of Scouts during the Apache Wars.

1 mar 2006 · Al Sieber was chief of scouts for Gen. George Crook during the Apache Wars. Born in Germany, he came to America in 1849. He was a tough, relentless fighter who had, at times, 100 Apache scouts under his command. He was badly wounded in 1887 during an incident involving the Apache Kid.
