Fritz Witt (27 May 1908 – 14 June 1944) was a Waffen-SS commander during the Nazi era. During World War II, he served with the SS Division Leibstandarte before taking command of the SS Division Hitlerjugend. He was killed in action in June 1944.

5 ago 2015 · From 22 June 1941, Fritz Witt and his unit fought in Operation Barbarossa, participating in the encirclement of 600.000 men near Kiev. Then his unit now moved south, to join the German 14. Armeekorps.
In this battle the Bataillon captured about 1000 prisoners. SS-Sturmbannführer Witt has previously distinguished himself in the Polish campaign. Here he led his Kompanie with great prudence and bravery, and he therefore became one of the first of the Standarte to receive the Iron Class Second Class.
