Patsy O'Hara (Irish: Peatsaí Ó hEadhra; 11 July 1957 – 21 May 1981) was an Irish republican hunger striker and member of the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA). O'Hara was one of 22 Irish republicans (in the 20th century) who died on hunger-strike .
Twenty-three-year-old Patsy O’Hara from Derry city, was the former leader of the Irish National Liberation Army prisoners in the H-Blocks, and joined IRA Volunteer Raymond McCreesh on hunger strike on March 22nd, three weeks after Bobby Sands and one week after Francis Hughes.

21 mag 2021 · Patsy O'Hara, who was from the Bishop Street area of Derry and who had been sentenced to eight years in prison in 1980 for possession of a hand grenade, was 23 when he died. His family have said that they will hold a private act of remembrance today to mark the 40th anniversary of his death.
The funeral of Patsy O'Hara was one of the biggest ever seen in Derry - equalling in size those of Bloody Sunday in 1972. People had travelled from all over Ireland to pay a final tribute to Derry's republican socialist hunger striker.
