Vertigo Records is a British record company. It was a subsidiary of the Philips/Phonogram record label, launched in 1969 to specialise in progressive rock and other non-mainstream musical styles.

Formed in late 1969 by parent company Philips Records, Vertigo was the brainchild of founder Olav Wyper to compete with other major labels' subsidiary labels such as EMI's Harvest and Decca's Deram offshoots.
