Eleanor Margaret Burbidge, nata Peachey (Davenport, 12 agosto 1919 – San Francisco, 5 aprile 2020) è stata un'astronoma e astrofisica britannica naturalizzata statunitense. Eleanor Margaret Burbidge, FRS (née Peachey; 12 August 1919 – 5 April 2020) was a British-American observational astronomer and astrophysicist. In the 1950s, she was one of the founders of stellar nucleosynthesis and was first author of the influential B 2 FH paper.

Margaret Burbidge, English-born American astronomer who was the first woman to be appointed director (1972–73) of the Royal Greenwich Observatory. She made notable contributions to the theory of quasars and to measurements of the rotation and masses of galaxies.
