13 mag 2024 · Ferenc Krausz (born May 17, 1962, Mór, Hungary) is a Hungarian-born Austrian physicist who was awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics for his experiments with attosecond pulses of light. He shared the prize with French physicists Pierre Agostini and Anne L’Huillier.
3 ott 2023 · Ferenc Krausz, director at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and professor at the LMU, is honoured for the foundation of attosecond physics. He and his colleagues have used extremely short laser pulses to observe electron movements in atoms, molecules and solids, with potential applications in electronics and biomedicine.
7 feb 2024 · The Nobel laureate in Physics is honoured by the Free State of Bavaria for his pioneering work in the field of attosecond physics. He is the third MPQ Director to receive the prestigious award, which is limited to 100 living recipients.
