Dame Elizabeth Nneka Anionwu OM DBE FRCN (born Elizabeth Mary Furlong; 2 July 1947) is a British nurse, health care administrator, lecturer, and Emeritus Professor of Nursing at the University of West London.
Dame Elizabeth Anionwu has continued her work throughout her retirement, and helped to bring to the nation’s attention how Covid-19 has had a devastating effect on Black and Asian communities. She was awarded the Order of Merit in 2022, named a BBC 100 Women of the Year in 2020 and made a Dame in 2017.
