Giovanni Aldini (Bologna, 16 aprile 1762 – Milano, 17 gennaio 1834) è stato un fisico e fisiologo italiano. Proseguì lo studio dell' elettricità animale dello zio Luigi Galvani , divulgandone l'opera.
Giovanni Aldini (10 April 1762 – 17 January 1834) was an Italian physician and physicist born in Bologna. He was a brother of the statesman Count Antonio Aldini (1756–1826). He graduated in physics at University of Bologna in 1782.
Aldini used Volta's bimetallic pile to apply electric current to dismembered bodies of animals and humans; these spectacular galvanic reanimation experiments made a strong and enduring impression on his contemporaries.
