FREDERICK EMMONS TERMAN, one of the twenty-five founders of the National Academy of Engineering, died at Stanford University on December 19, 1982, at the age of eighty-two. He will long be remembered as one of the outstanding teachers, textbook authors, and educational leaders of his generation.
