Robert Wilhelm Eberhard Bunsen (German:; 30 March 1811 – 16 August 1899) was a German chemist. He investigated emission spectra of heated elements, and discovered caesium (in 1860) and rubidium (in 1861) with the physicist Gustav Kirchhoff. The Bunsen–Kirchhoff Award for spectroscopy is named after Bunsen and Kirchhoff.

Chimico e fisico, è noto per aver perfezionato lo strumento bruciatore presente in ogni laboratorio chimico del globo, che oggigiorno viene chiamato con il suo nome "becco Bunsen". Lo strumento in sé venne inventato dal britannico Michael Faraday.
Robert Wilhelm Eberhard Bunsen war ein deutscher Chemiker. Zusammen mit Gustav Robert Kirchhoff entdeckte er 1861 die Elemente Caesium und Rubidium und entwickelte auch gemeinsam mit Kirchhoff 1859 die Spektralanalyse, mit deren Hilfe chemische Elemente hochspezifisch nachgewiesen werden können.
