CatDog inizialmente doveva essere un cortometraggiodi 2/3 minuti per il canale Nickelodeon, ma il network decise di creare una serie vera e propria. L'ispirazione della serie viene dai racconti sui gemelli siamesi che il creatore Peter Hannan sentiva alla televisione e sulle relazioni tra i cani ed i gatti del vicinato.

CatDog is an American animated television series created by Peter Hannan for Nickelodeon. The series follows the zany hijinks of golden-furred conjoined brothers of different species, with one half of the resultant animal being a cat and the other a dog.
