State of Happiness (Norwegian: Lykkeland) is a Norwegian period drama television series about the discovery of oil in the North Sea, and subsequent growth of the petroleum industry in Stavanger, beginning in 1969. It is directed by Petter Næss and Pål Jackman and is coproduced by NRK and Maipo Film.
State of Happiness: With Anne Regine Ellingsæter, Malene Wadel, Mads Sjøgård Pettersen, Pia Tjelta. The night before Christmas 1969, the gas flare at the Ocean Viking is lit. Phillips has found the largest sub sea oil basin in history. And everything is about to change.
