RUNGE, Philipp Otto. Pittore, nato il 23 luglio 1777 a Wolgast, morto il 2 dicembre 1810 ad Amburgo. Scolaro dell'accademia di Copenaghen, fu a Dresda dal 1801 al 1804 amico di C. D. Friedrich, frequentando il gruppo di scrittori romantici intorno a L. Tieck e a F. v. Schlegel.
