David Kehr (born 1953) is an American museum curator and film critic. For many years a critic at the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Tribune, he later wrote a weekly column for The New York Times on DVD releases. He later became a curator within the department of film at the Museum of Modern Art .
A Curator in the Department of Film, Dave Kehr joined MoMA in 2013 after a long career as a film journalist, including stints at the Chicago Reader (1974–85), the Chicago Tribune (1985–93), the New York Daily News (1993–98) and the New York Times (1999–13).
Dave Kehr, Adjunct Curator at MoMA, who put the series together along with MoMA Curator Joshua Siegel, is a well-known champion of film preservation and a strong advocate for making rare films available to the public.
