Biografia. Dopo aver lasciato la nativa Vicksburg nel 1950, debuttò a Broadway nel 1955. Prolifica attrice di televisione, teatro e cinema, fu anche poetessa e drammaturga: nelle sue produzioni si affrontavano soprattutto i temi delle leggi razziali e delle condizioni degli afroamericani.
Beulah Elizabeth Richardson (July 12, 1920 – September 14, 2000), known professionally as Beah Richards and Bea Richards, was an American actress of stage, screen, and television. She was also a poet, playwright, author and activist.
Actress: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Beah Richards left her native Vicksburg, Mississippi, for New York City in 1950. She would not acquire a significant role on stage until 1955,when she appeared in the off-Broadway show "Take a Giant Step" convincingly portraying an 84-year-old grandmother without using theatrical makeup.
