Alexei Nikolaevich (Russian: Алексе́й Никола́евич) (12 August [O.S. 30 July] 1904 – 17 July 1918) was the last Tsesarevich (heir apparent to the throne of the Russian Empire). [note 1] He was the youngest child and only son of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna.
