Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah (Arabic: سلطان محمد شاه, romanized: Sulṭān Muḥammad Shāh; 2 November 1877 – 11 July 1957), known as Aga Khan III (Persian: آقا خان سوم, romanized: Āqā Khān Suwwūm), was the 48th imam of the Nizari Ism'aili branch of Shia Islam.
Aga Khan III, né Sultan Mohammed Chah (2 novembre 1877, Karachi – 11 juillet 1957, Versoix), était le 48 e imam des ismaéliens nizârites. Il succéda à son père Aga Khan II en 1885, alors qu'il n'avait que huit ans. Il est président de l'Assemblée générale de la Société des Nations en 1937 et 1938.
Aga Khan III. Sir Sultan Muhammed Shah, Aga Khan III, GCSI, GCMG, GCIE, GCVO, PC (2 November 1877–11 July 1957) was the 48th Imam of the Nizari Ismaili sect of Islam. He became Imam at a very young age. He was seven years old when his father, Aga Khan II, died in 1885.
Coordinates: 24°05′18″N 32°52′44″E. The Mausoleum of Aga Khan is the mausoleum of Aga Khan III, Sir Sultan Muhammed Shah, who died in 1957. The mausoleum is located at Aswan along the Nile of Egypt, since Egypt was formerly the centre of power of the Fatimids, an Ismaili Shia dynasty .
