Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, also known as Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, is to the east of Tiananmen Square. As the resting place of Mao Zedong until his death, its structure include a golden glazed double-eave roof, and forty-four granite posts standing on the burgundy granite base.
