  1. Richard Jones, 1st Earl of Ranelagh PC (Ire) FRS (8 February 1641 – 5 January 1712), known as The Viscount Ranelagh between 1669 and 1677, was an Irish peer, politician both in the Parliaments of England and Ireland.

Jones, Richard (1641–1712), 1st earl of Ranelagh , tax farmer, politician, and architect, was born 8 February 1641 in the house of his uncle, Viscount Dungarvan, in Long Acre, London, the only son of Arthur Jones and Katherine Jones (qv), the fifth daughter of Richard Boyle (qv), the great earl of Cork.

  6. Richard Jones, 1st Earl of Ranelagh, was born February 8, 1641. Richard was the only son born to Jones and her husband. He went on to marry Elizabeth Willoughby and they had three daughters together, Elizabeth, Frances, and Catherine. After Elizabeth, his wife, died he went on to marry the widow Lady Margaret Cecil.
