  5. About West Lavington Manor. The garden is in the grounds of a house (not open) with early origins dating from 1475 and extended over the years most recently in 1908. After the Norman conquest the manor was owned until the Dissolution by the Bishop of Salisbury. It is mentioned in Pevsner’s guide to Wiltshire.
