Arielle Dombasle (born April 27, 1953) is an American-born French singer, actress, director and model. Her breakthrough roles were in Éric Rohmer 's Pauline at the Beach (1983) and Alain Robbe-Grillet 's The Blue Villa (1995).
Dombasle was nominated for a César Award for her supporting performance in the romantic drama Boredom (1998), but lost to Dominique Blanc for Those Who Love Me Can Take the Train (1998). As well as acting, Dombasle has also directed and penned three films: Chassé-croisé (1982), Les pyramides bleues (1988), and Opium (2013).
