Brigitte Horney (German: [bʁiˈɡɪ.tə ˈhɔʁ.naɪ̯] ⓘ; 29 March 1911 – 27 July 1988) was a German theatre and film actress. Best remembered was her role as Empress Katherine the Great in the 1943 version of the UFA film version of Baron Münchhausen, directed by Josef von Báky, with Hans Albers in the title role.

Born in Berlin, Germany, in 1911, three years before the start of World War I, Brigitte Horney grew up in a family of social prominence and affluence which valued intellectual and professional achievements. Her father was a physician; her mother was Karen Horney who in later years became one of the leading psychoanalysts in the world.

She was an actress, known for Liebe, Tod und Teufel (1934), Jakob und Adele (1982) and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1943). She was married to Hanns Swarzenski and Konstantin Irmen-Tschet. She died on July 27, 1988 in Hamburg, West Germany.
