Charles Napier Sturt (28 April 1795 – 16 June 1869) was a British officer and explorer of Australia, and part of the European exploration of Australia. He led several expeditions into the interior of the continent, starting from Sydney and later from Adelaide.

Charles Sturt University is an Australian multi-campus public university located in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. Established in 1989, it was named in honour of Captain Charles Napier Sturt, a British explorer who made expeditions into regional New South Wales and South Australia.
Charles Napier Sturt (Chumar, 28 aprile 1795 – Cheltenham, 16 giugno 1869) è stato un esploratore britannico, fu uno tra i più importanti esploratori nella storia dell'Australia e il primo a tracciare una mappa del fiume Murray.
