Oz performed the Muppet characters of Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Sam Eagle on The Muppet Show (1976–1981), and Cookie Monster, Bert, and Grover on Sesame Street (1969–2013).
Oz has also stated that while Fozzie Bear is a two-dimensional character and Animal has no dimensions, Miss Piggy is one of the few Muppet characters to be fully realized in three dimensions. Piggy, truly a diva in a class of her own, is convinced she is destined for stardom, and nothing will stand in her way.
In The Muppets, Fozzie works as Miss Piggy's sidekick and warm-up act on Up Late with Miss Piggy and is dating a human woman named Becky. Performing Fozzie [ ] Fozzie's cheeks help show his emotional state when Jay Leno finds out he's been stealing from him in " Episode 102: Hostile Makeover ."
