Prophets and messengers named in the Quran
According to tradition, Prophets (Nabi) mentioned in the Quran are sometimes interchanged with the word Messengers (Rasul), but not all Prophets were Messengers.This is proved by Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him and His Ahlu Bayht) as he was Prophet and a Messenger whilst some Prophets, like Hud (Peace Be Upon Him), were Prophets, but not Messengers.
