Biografia. Nato ad Odense, sull'isola di Fionia (in Danimarca ), Thomsen si è diplomato presso la Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance nel 1993 e, subito dopo, ha iniziato a lavorare in vari teatri di Copenaghen. Il suo debutto cinematografico avviene già nel 1994 con Il guardiano di notte di Ole Bornedal.
Ulrich Thomsen (born 6 December 1963) is a Danish actor and filmmaker, known for his role of Christian in the 1998 film The Celebration and for the role of Kai Proctor in the Cinemax original series Banshee (2013–2016).

Ulrich Thomsen (* 6. Dezember 1963 in Næsby, Fünen) ist ein dänischer Schauspieler. Seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre hat er in über 60 Film- und Fernsehproduktionen mitgewirkt. Internationale Bekanntheit brachte ihm seine preisgekrönte Hauptrolle in dem dänischen Spielfilm Das Fest (1998) ein.
