Wendell Phillips Academy High School is a public 4-year high school located in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Born in 1811, Wendell Phillips spent nearly fifty years of his life championing the fight against slavery, the ill-treatment of Native Americans, equal pay and for women and better working conditions for all workers.
