Montcuq è un comune francese soppresso e frazione del dipartimento del Lot della regione dell'Occitania. Dal 1º gennaio 2016 si è fuso con i comuni di Belmontet, Lebreil, Sainte-Croix, e Valprionde per formare il nuovo comune di Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc.
Montcuq (/mɔ̃.kyk/ [1]) est une ancienne commune française située dans le département du Lot, en région Occitanie, devenue, le 1 er janvier 2016, une composante de la commune nouvelle de Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc.
Montcuq (French pronunciation: or ; Lengadocian: Montcuc) is a town and former commune in the Lot department in south-western France, lying 25 kilometres (16 mi) outside Cahors. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc. Its residents are known as Montcuquois.
Da allora Montcuq è una delle più famose città della Francia. Si trova a circa 25 km da Cahors, nel cuore della regione del Quercy Blanc. Ex capitale della signoria medievale, Montcuq è anche su una delle strade per San Giacomo di Compostela, la Via Podiensis.

Montcuq is a lovely community in SW France - and this tower is worth the climb, giving great views over all surrounding countryside. There's good slices of history on view all the way up as well. Stairs are steep so tough for the less-physically able. Hold onto the handrails!
