On 11 April 2015, ridden as in all of his previous races by Leighton Aspell, he carried 11 stone 9 pound to victory in the Grand National at Aintree Racecourse. Many Clouds won one race in the following season but finished unplaced when joint-favourite for the 2016 Grand National.
