The Sports Pages plot Diptych about the excesses of competition in sport, with in the first story a rigid golfer who incites his golf buddy to kill. The second part examines the aftermath of the so-called 'Heidi Bowl', a 1968 incident in which the NBC broadcaster stopped broadcasting a major football game in favor of a planned Heidi movie.
