Maria Josepha Karolina Eleonore Franziska Xaveria von Polen und Sachsen (* 4. November 1731 in Dresden; † 13. März 1767 in Versailles) war Prinzessin von Polen und Sachsen aus dem Haus der albertinischen Wettiner und durch Heirat Kronprinzessin ( Dauphine) von Frankreich.
Dauphine of France. The dauphine of France ( / ˈdɔːfiːn, dɔːˈfiːn /, also US: / ˈdoʊfiːn, doʊˈfiːn /, French: [dofin]) was the wife of the dauphin of France (the heir apparent to the French throne). The position was analogous to a crown princess (the wife of a crown prince and heir apparent to a throne).
Daughter of Augustus II, Prince-Elector of Saxony and king of Poland; Consort of Louis, Dauphin of France (q.v.); married in 1747; she bore him eight children, including the future Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X.
